15 cm diameter x 15 cm high. A lovely piece that stands well in normal light but really stands out with back-lighting. The rich gold really shines through and highlights the green celtic patterns.
All vases are hand blown to my shape, colour and size specifications. They are blown using a very skillful process to overlay a thin layer of one colour over the top of a different inner colour. Once the glass has been cooled, I hand-cut the mask resist of my design onto the vase before sandblasting the top layer of colour away to reveal the inner core. I then polish the glass to remove the dulling effect of the sandblasting. It’s a lengthy process but these truly individual pieces are well worth the effort.
