12cm diameter x 23 cm high. Rich black glass overlaid onto a deep wine red. This is very dramatic when back-lit as the red really comes to life.
All vases are hand blown to my shape, colour and size specifications. They are blown using a very skillful process to overlay a thin layer of one colour over the top of a different inner colour. Once the glass has been cooled, I hand-cut the mask resist of my design onto the vase before sandblasting the top layer of colour away to reveal the inner core. I then polish the glass to remove the dulling effect of the sandblasting. It’s a lengthy process but these truly individual pieces are well worth the effort.
